Central Computing Company - Accounting Reports

Images

Cream 80-column punch card printed for Central Computing Company, with square corners and a card cut on the top left-hand corner. The card is an accounting entry/report form; the print area is laid out with headings for “CLIENT,” “DATE,” “PARTICULARS,” “REFERENCE,” “ACCOUNT,” “CURRENT,” “CUMULATIVE,” and small check/code boxes “I,” “S2,” “SPL3,” and “MO.”

The punch area is divided by solid vertical rules into fixed fields corresponding to the headings. Some fields are divided by dashed lines to denote the separation of field subcomponents like date year, month, date; and currency thousands division, and cents. The bottom margin carries “CENTRAL COMPUTING COMPANY” at left, “DECATUR, ILLINOIS” at center, and “ACCOUNTING REPORTS” at right; “G-53073 BSC” is printed vertically in the right margin.

Row numerals are printed within the punch area as repeating “0” through “9”. Mid-card legends between several rows read “CURRENT UL NATURAL,” “CUMULATIVE UL YELLOW TS,” “NAME UR ROSE TS,” and “BUDGET UL GREEN TS.” A small “CR” over “X” appears labelling a single column field before the “CURRENT” and “CUMULATIVE” fields. Columns are numbered 1–80 below the 0 and 9 rows. The reverse side is unprinted.
