Principles of Operation - IBM Accounting Machine 402, 403, and 419 provides a structured, example-based guide to the operation, functions, and control-panel wiring of IBM’s Type 402 and Type 403 alphabetic accounting machines, Type 419 numeric accounting machines as well as the associated tape-controlled carriage in these models. The manual explains how to read and wire the machines, illustrates typical applications with sample cards, reports, and diagrams.
The number 730 has been handwritten on the front cover of this copy of the manual in red marker. The covers show wear marks in several places, in particular at the spine. The spine of the book shows several creases from use, but the binding is intact and structurally sound. Internally, all pages are intact and legible, with very little discolouration or no foxing or staining. Scans of this book are difficult to produce due to the tight binding, resulting in some skewed text and shadows near the spine in many pages.
